The match earlier Saturday wrapped up a demanding three-game road trip for Piedmont in as many days in league action as PC faced two of the top teams in the conference including today's showdown with unbeaten Methodist.
The Monarchs have now won 28 of their last 29 regular season USA South contests over the last three seasons.
The win moves the Monarchs to an impressive 11-2 overall as they are still unbeaten in league action while Piedmont falls to 5-7 overall but 4-3 in USA South play.
Turning Point--Methodist owned a 3-0 lead after doubles action setting the tone in the 9-0 win over Piedmont.
Standout Performances--Isabella Graf collected her 7th singles win of the season for Methodist with her win over
NICOLE PARRISH at the #1 spot.
Inside the Box Score--Methodist's victory keeps them unbeaten in league action, the only such team in the USA South.
News & Notes--Methodist owns a 6-0 record over Piedmont since 2012 having elminated PC from last season's USA South Championship Tournament. Up NextThe Lady Lions play host to Agnes Scott College on Monday, March 28 at Burgen Tennis Courts with the match slated to begin at 4:00 pm.
