                     Lookout Mountain, GA - The Piedmont College women's tennis team dropped a USA South match earlier today to hosting Covenant College by a 9-0 score line moving their conference record to now 3-5. 
The Lady Lions dropped close decisions at the #3 doubles and #2 singles spots with the pairing of 
CHRISTIAN WADE and 
KARINA RIVERA falling in doubles action 8-6 to Covenant's Gracie Smith and Jennie Spielman.  
At the #2 singles spot, 
NICOLE PARRISH came close to her fourth straight singles win falling in three 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 10-6 to Covenant's Claire Luger.  Parrish had won her three previous decisions dating back to a win over Oglethorpe's Marcail McGranahan on March 31. 
With the loss, Piedmont falls to 4-10 overall.  The Lady Lions will get back on the court this Friday when PC hosts LaGrange College on Friday, April 10 for a 12:00 pm contest.  The match with the Panthers is a rescheduled contest from earlier in the season.
