Atlanta, GA - The Piedmont College women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to in-state foe Oglethorpe University earlier today taking a step out of conference play to face the Stormy Petrels (6-9, 0-3 SAA).
The lone decision for PC came at the #3 singles spot as
NICOLE PARRISH defeated Marcail McGranahan in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 to move her overall singles record to 4-5 with all nine of those decisions coming at the #3 singles slot.
Parrish was also a part of a tight decision at the #2 doubles spot that went the way of the Stormy Petrels as Marcail McGranahan and MaryAnne Hafen defeated Parrish and her usual doubles partner
AMANDA BLACKWELL 8-6.
Now sitting at 3-8 overall on the season, the Lady Lions will step back into the USA South schedule for its next competition as nothing but conference foes remain on the regular season schedule for PC.
Piedmont travels to face Maryville College on Friday, April 3 in Tennessee for a 1:00 pm match before returning home for its final contest at Burgen Tennis Courts this season on Saturday, April 4 to face Huntingdon College at 12:00 pm.
