Demorest, GA - Fans attending Wednesday night's doubleheader against LaGrange College will be encouraged to dig out those highly fashionable Hawaiian shirts as the night's theme will be to Wipeout Autism. By breaking out their island gear, fans will be showing support for the Wipeout Autism night as donations will also be accepted in support of the cause.
The promotion is a part of the continuing promotional calendar with the Piedmont basketball programs as the focus throughout the winter.
At Piedmont's previous two home doubleheaders, the focus was on raising cancer awareness and featured donations accepted to support the fight against the disease. As a show of support, the Lions coaching staff donned their athletic footwear as a part of the NABC's Suits and Sneakers promotion while the Lady Lions sported pink shooting shirts and more to raise breast cancer awareness.

The two basketball programs welcome a pair of Panthers to the Cave on Wednesday night with LaGrange College coming to town. The LaGrange men's team is ranked third in the conference and will prove to be a key test of Piedmont's chances at making the USA South postseason though the Lions could make a huge statement with a win over the 5-3 visitors.
On the women's side, the 2nd place Lady Lions host the 3rd place Panthers as the two look to jockey for position in the tight South Division of the conference as only three from the South Division will make the USA South Championship Tournament - one game in the loss column separates three teams behind first place Maryville College.
Sure to wear their favorite Hawaiian-themed apparel are the Cave Crazies who were recently featured in an article written by Pat Lyons in the school newspaper,
The Navigator, February 4th edition. A listing of Piedmont's remaining promotions can be found above.
