Tennis Heads To Rocky Mount For USA South Tournament

The fourth-seeded Piedmont Tennis teams travel to the USA South Athletic Tournament today.

Demorest, GA - The Piedmont Tennis teams leave for Rocky Mount, North Carolina today to compete in the USA South Tennis Tournament beginning tomorrow morning. Both Men's and Women's teams are seeded fourth going into the tournament.

Men's Tennis will face #5-seeded Greensboro College tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. The Lions finished the regular season 11-5 overall and 5-3 in the USA South after a loss to Oglethorpe 8-1 yesterday.

Women's Tennis will face #5-seeded Maryville College tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. The Lady Lions came out of regular season play on a positive note with a 5-4 clutch victory over Oglethorpe yesterday. The finished the regular season 9-8 overall and 8-3 in conference play.

Coach Shane Wood is excited his teams have made it this far together and are excited to see how far they can go this weekend.

Both matches have been relocated to the East Carolina Indoor Tennis Center due to weather uncertainty.
