ROME, Georgia - The Piedmont College women's tennis team fell to non-conference host Berry College this afternoon by the score of 9-0. The home standing Vikings were able to sweep the three doubles points and six singles points en route to the victory.
After Berry posted 8-0, 8-3 and 8-3 victories at the three doubles matches the squad was able to clinch the match after the first two singles matches were completed. At #1 singles
Katie Sailors lost a hard fought three-set affair 2-6, 6-2 and 1-0 (4-0).
The loss moves Piedmont to 6-5 overall. The women will return to the court in USA South Conference action on Friday, March 29 as they travel to Methodist University starting at 3:30.
