DEMOREST, Georgia -- The Piedmont women's tennis team fell to Millsaps College Friday afternoon in Demorest by a count of 6-3. With the loss the Lady Lions move to 2-3 overall.

The Lady Lions dropped both the #1 and #2 doubles matches in the contest, but Erin Krause and Nicole Parrish managed to secure a win in the #3 doubles match, 8-6.  Krause also won her singles match at the #6 spot in straight sets (6-3, 6-3).  Despite dropping her first set 6-0 Chelsea Prince managed to battle back to win at the #3 singles position, which concluded in a tie-breaker that Prince took 10-8.  Millsaps however secured singles victories at the #1, #2, #4 and #5 positions to take the match, 6-3. 

Piedmont (2-3, 2-0 USA South) will be back in action tomorrow afternoon when they play host to USA South Conference foe North Carolina Wesleyan College.  Match time is slated for 3 PM.
