SEWANEE, Tennessee - In the 2013 season opener the Piedmont College women's tennis fell to #18 ranked Sewanee University this afternoon by the score of 9-0. The Lady Lions, now 0-1 overall, will return to action again tomorrow, February 23 as they take on Transylvania University in a neutral site match in Sewanee, TN.

The Lady Lions were defeated in straight sets in all six singles matches and fell in the doubles matches by the scores of 8-2, 8-2 and 8-1. The victory moves host Sewanee University to 2-0 overall on the young season.
