Demorest, GA - The Lady Lions' tennis team saw its four-match winning streak brought to a halt when visiting Oglethorpe University came in and escaped with a narrow 5-4 win Wednesday evening.  Piedmont split the singles matches down the middle, with freshman Chelsea Prince winning at #2 singles, freshman Morgan Reed at flight four and sophomore Ashley Fannon at #6 singles.

Prince and freshman teammate Meghan Smith pounded out a win at #1 doubles by a 9-8 final, but the women dropped the other doubles points.  The loss moves the women to 9-8 on the season.  The Lady Lions have two remaining regular season matches, beginning with arch-rivals Maryville College at noon Sunday on the road.  Piedmont previously beat the Great South Athletic Conference opponents 5-4 on the home court.  PC is 7-2 in GSAC play.
