Lady Lions Grab First Win Of 2012 In GSAC Match

Lauren Anderson came up with the deciding win in Piedmont's 9-0 victory over the Pioneers of Wesleyan College. The junior tallied a win in #6 singles to clinch the match for the Lady Lions, their first win of the season.

Macon, GA - Piedmont was able to set its 0-4 record aside and come up with a key 9-0 win over Wesleyan College Wednesday afternoon.  The Lady Lions opened Great South Athletic Conference play with a quick shutout of the Pioneers.  

Junior Lauren Anderson came up with the clinching win at #6 singles for the women in her first tennis action of the season.  The 9-0 victory marked a repeat of the 2011 meeting between the two squads.  Piedmont returns to the court Saturday when visiting Huntingdon College on the road at 12:00 pm.
