Demorest, GA -- The Piedmont College women's tennis team fell to Great South Athletic Conference member LaGrange College this afternoon by a score of 5-4 at Burgen Tennis Courts.  The Lady Lions took two of three doubles matches, but could only claim two of six singles matches as they dropped their eighth match of the season.

Senior Mandy Beasley took a victory at #4 singles while teammate Lisa Jennings cruised to a straight sets victory at #5 singles.  Jennings also took a point with doubles partner Laura Anderson at #2 doubles. 

With the loss, the Lady Lions move to 4-8 on the season while dropping to 1-3 in conference play.  The Lady Lions will play host to yet another GSAC competitor as Huntingdon College visits Burgen Tennis Courts on Sunday, April 11 with the match set for a 1:00 start.
