Demorest, GA -- The Piedmont College men's tennis team fell just short of its first victory this season falling to Greensboro College in a tight 5-4 match this afternoon. While PC collected a doubles and three singles points, the host Pride took two of three doubles match-ups in addition to points at #3, #4, and #5 singles to hand the Lions their eighth loss of the season.
Zach Hicks and
Andrew Peck picked up the double point for PC in a tie-break match 8-8 (7-5). Peck also snagged a point at #6 singles. Sophomores
Moses Das and
Jon Reinert also contributed earning wins at #1 and #2 singles respectively.
With the loss, the Lions fall to 0-8 on the season holding at 0-3 in Great South Athletic Conference action. PC will look to rebound quickly when they face Emmanuel College at 4:00 on Monday, March 21st.
