Macon, GA -- The Piedmont College men's basketball team is set to travel to Macon, GA to take on NCAA Division I Mercer University this evening in MU's University Center with tip off set for 7:00 PM.  The game can be followed through the Mercer Sports Network and Peach 96.5 FM or with live stats courtesy of the MU Sports Information Office.

Piedmont enters the game with a 3-2 overall record and winners of three of their last four games.  The Lions boast a balanced offensive attack with five players averaging in double figures led by senior Sam Coppage and his 13.0 points per tilt.

Piedmont and Mercer met last year in the 2008-09 season-opener for the Bears with MU pulling out an 89-63 victory.  MU exploded for 51 second half points after leading the visiting Lions by just four at halftime.  The Lions trailed by only single digits until 15:00 remaining in the contest.

Mercer and Piedmont have met seven times with the host Bears holding a 6-1 series advantage.
