PRATTVILLE, Ala. - No. 13 Piedmont men's golf moved up two spots in the final round of the Capital City Classic on Tuesday, vaulting into a fourth-place finish against a loaded field.
With course conditions playing difficult, no team was able to shoot under par for the day, but the Lions held tough and passed a pair of teams to work into a top five finish.
Braden Kiley led the way, carding his second consecutive round of even par 72. Kiley played a remarkably consistent round, making 14 pars to go with a pair of birdies and a pair of bogeys. The rock solid round helped the freshman move all the way into the top 10, securing a tied for eighth finish out of 95 golfers.
Adam Rogers tied for the team lead with three birdies on his way to a 2-over 74, while the Lions posted two 75's to round out the team scoring.
After an under par second round,
Doug Gugel posted a final round of 3-over 75 while freshman
Bradley Knowles also came home with a 75 in the final round, thanks to three birdies.
Jacob DeJesus carded a non-counting 7-over 79.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- The Lions moved up two spots, finishing just ahead of No. 3 Sewanee and No. 12 Kenyon by two strokes on the team leaderboard.
