ATLANTA - Piedmont men's golf freshman
Braden Kiley has been named Collegiate Conference of the South Rookie of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
This marks the fourth time during the 2025-26 season that Kiley has earned top rookie honors from the conference, with two coming in the fall and two more this spring.
Kiley earns the award after a strong performance at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational over the weekend, stringing together a pair of par-or-better rounds to help the Lions bank another top-10 finish as a team.
In Friday's opening round, Kiley caught fire with seven birdies on his way to a 2-under 70. Then, after falling back a bit with a 3-over 75 in the second round, he rebounded with a rock solid even par 72 to finish off the tournament.
Kiley and the 14th-ranked Lions will be back in action at the Capital City Classic in Prattville, Alabama, beginning Monday, April 6.
