DEMOREST, Ga. - After a stellar performance on Senior Day and a 94-71 win over Maryville, Piedmont women's basketball has earned the No. 4 seed for the upcoming Collegiate Conference of the South Tournament and will host first round action Tuesday night.
The Lions will begin their quest to repeat as tournament champions by welcoming Maryville back to Cave Arena just three days after delivering a 94-71 win to close out the regular season.

Hayley Borino was the offensive star on her Senior Day, catching fire from long range on her way to a career-high 20 points and six made three-pointers. Fellow senior
Riley Bryan also had a big offensive day, scoring 15 points to go with eight rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Two Lions brought big production off the bench, with senior
Gracie Deetz adding a double-double, with 15 points and 11 rebounds in 24 minutes while senior
Ava Hunter added 13 points and was a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line.
Piedmont's offense was unstoppable in an incredible 54-point second half. The Scots were unable to keep up as the Lions gradually lengthened their lead, eventually pushing it to double digits and even 20 in the second half.
The Lions won going away, as their largest lead was the final margin at 94-71.

Both contests in the regular season between Piedmont and Maryville were lopsided games, with the Scots coming away with an 89-63 win in Maryville on Jan. 16.
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
Watkins has enjoyed a standout freshman campaign, winning CCS Rookie of the Week a program-record seven times. She enters the postseason leading the Lions in points per game (11.3), assists per game (3.0) and steals per game (2.1) while ranking second on the team in rebounds per game.
The junior from Dallas, Georgia has been a standout in the frontcourt in her junior season. Willis has recorded a team-high six double-doubles this season. Her .560% field goal percentage is first in the CCS while her 7.6 rebounds per game ranks third in the league and first on the team.
