Every Wednesday, the Piedmont Cycling team has been going down to East Point, Georgia, to race at Dick Lane Velodrome. September 24th, the velodrome hosted the Finale pro night.
On the women's side,
Emma Frost got 2nd in the 20-lap scratch, 2nd in the 20-lap Tempo, 3rd in the Elimination and 2nd in the Points. Her fantastic results led to her getting 2nd in the omnium for the night and 2nd for the season.
On the men's side,
Owen Lloyd raced in the men's pro, and the rest of our men's team raced in the B/C. Llyod got 3rd in the 20-lap Tempo, 4th in the Elimination and 4th in the Points. These results put him 5th overall in the pro men's. For the B/C men,
Pearson Bruhns got 1st in the 10 Lap Scratch, 1st in the Snowball, 1st in the Miss n Out, and 2nd in the Unknown. His almost undefeated night of racing put him in 1st place in the omnium.
Louie Schramm got 2nd in the 10 Lap Scratch, 4th in the Snowball, 3rd in the Miss n Out, and 1st in the Unknown. This led him to get 2nd in the omnium.
Kaden Zimish got 4th in the 10 Lap Scratch, 2nd in the Snowball, 2nd in the Miss n Out, and 3rd in the Unknown Distance. This completed the podium for the Men's B/C with Kaden in 3rd in the omnium.
The cycling had a strong end to the track season.
