ATLANTA - For the second time this season, Piedmont volleyball senior Zoe Coelho has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

The defensive specialist and libero from Roswell has had a breakout season as a senior, already earning a pair of Defensive Player of the Week nods.

 

In just two matches and six sets this past weekend, Coelho recorded nearly 50 digs, matching her career high with 23 in Piedmont's win over Coumbia College before setting a new career high with 26 against Truett McConnell to close out the day.

Up next, the Lions will open up CCS play with a tri-match this Saturday at Maryville, taking on the host Scots and the Belhaven Blazers.
