GREENSBORO, N.C. - Piedmont men's golf held steady, finishing in a tie for 10th as the final round of the Gate City Invitational concluded Tuesday afternoon in Greensboro, North Carolina.

With the course playing more difficult in Tuesday's final round, birdies were harder to find across the board, with just one team finishing under par for the day.

On the Piedmont side, none of the five players were able to break par, but the Lions did not count a score worse than 4-over 76 on the day, finishing with a team score of +13 and tying with Berry at 24-over par for the 54-hole event.

After opening with a 4-under 68, Adam Rogers held on to a top-15 finish after a final round of 4-over 76 that included one birdie.

Doug Gugel bounced back after a tough second round, carding a team-best 2-over 73 on the day for a top-40 finish on the individual leaderboard. Gugel caught fire in the opening round, shooting a bogey free 5-under 67.

Freshman Braden Kiley stayed consistent, firing a 3-over 75 to match his first round score while Jacob DeJesus made a pair of birdies and an eagle on the par-4 16th to come in with a 4-over 76 to match Rogers as the team's final counting score.

Drew Anness delivered a non-counting 87.

Sewanee held on to take the team title, finishing at 3-under, one head of Carnegie Mellon.

Up next, Piedmont will tee it up at the Oglethorpe Invite, slated to begin Monday, October 6 in Douglasville, Georgia.
