DEMOREST, Ga. - For the fourth time in the past five seasons, Piedmont men's golf will be teeing it up at the NCAA Division III Championships, with the 2025 edition set to begin Tuesday in Penfield, New York.

The event will be hosted in Penfield, New York at the Midvale Country Club. However, due to the number of participants, the first and second rounds will feature one round at Midvale Country Club as well as one round at Cobblestone Creek Country Club.

The Lions are set to tee off in Tuesday's first round off the first hole at Cobblestone Creek at 12 p.m., beginning with Remo Scholl.

After 36 holes of competition, the field will be cut to the top 18 teams and the top six individuals not on one of those teams. Ties for the cut will be broken by a sudden-death playoff or,if necessary, by the non-sudden-death tiebreaking procedures.

LAST TIME OUT:

Piedmont men's golf captured its second consecutive Collegiate Conference of the South title, defeating Huntingdon in a playoff on Wednesday afternoon in Dalton, Georgia.

Holding a nine-stroke advantage heading into the final round, the Lions struggled out of the gate as the Hawks made a final round charge.

However, despite trailing at multiple points across the back nine, Piedmont showcased resiliency to battle back and finish strong to force a playoff, where it outlasted Huntingdon to take the title for the second straight season.

With all five players on both teams going back to 18 for a sudden-death playoff, four of the five from Piedmont hit the green in regulations and all four delivered standard two-putt pars with one bogey mixed in. Piedmont's 1-over total score bested the Hawks by two to claim the championship.

OF NOTE:
- Four Lions found a spot on the CCS All-Conference listing as Adam Rogers took home first team honors while Jacob DeJesus, Doug Gugel and Connor Lane were named to the second team.
- Head Coach Dustin Meadows was named CCS Coach of the Year after leading the Lions to their second straight CCS Championship.
- Piedmont will be looking to advance past the cut for the fourth consecutive time after making the third and fourth rounds in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
