PRATTVILLE, Ala.. - Piedmont men's golf moved its way up the leaderboard in the final round of the Capital City Classic on Tuesday thanks to an under par round from Jacob DeJesus and solid support from the rest of the Lions.

Starting the day in a tie for 11th, the Lions moved up two spots into the top 10, posting a solo ninth place finish after a final round team score of 291, 12 strokes better than Monday's opening round.

This was spearheaded by an outstanding round of 2-under 70 from DeJesus, who vaulted himself into a team-best solo 16th place finish on the individual leaderboard. This marks the low round of the spring for the sophomore but is also his second straight event with an under par round.

DeJesus played his first 12 holes in 3-under par and without a bogey, and although he made a pair of bogeys down the stretch, he also added his fourth birdie of the day to come home in even par 36 after going out in 2-under 34.

In support of DeJesus was senior Connor Lane, who made three birdies overall including two on par 3's for a 1-over 73.

Consistent as always, Adam Rogers backed up a 1-over 73 which led the team on Monday, with a 2-over 74 on Tuesday which included four birdies on his round, tying DeJesus for tops on the team.

Up next, the Lions are set for one final tune up before the conference tournament, heading to Cordova, Tennessee for the Cochran Collegiate, beginning next Monday, April 14.
