Doug Gugel started off his 2025 championship with back-to-back birdies. In total, he made a team-high five birdies on his round, including one a the last to get in the house with a 1-over 73, good for a tie for third.
Connor Lane also started the event with a birdie at the first and made two more on his opening nine before making one birdie on his inward nine to join Gugel in a tie for third with a 1-over 73.
Making his spring debut last time out in Tennessee,
Remo Scholl earned a lineup spot and performed well on Monday, posting a 3-over 75 that included three birdies.
Adam Rogers made just one birdie, but nothing worse than bogey on his way to joining Scholl at 3-over for his round and in a tie for eighth.
Despite making an eight on the par-4 3rd hole, DeJesus battled all day, playing his final 15 holes of the day in even par. He was a mark of consistency, making 15 pars in the round.
Covenant's Drew Silman blitzed the course with a 5-under 67 to lead by three strokes on the individual side.
