GREENWOOD, Ind. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released their Academic All-District teams for softball with the Lions landing four on the list.

Kennedy Votava earn the honor for the second time in their careers while junior
Jordyn Green takes home the honor for the first time in her career.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

KAITLIN ISLEYÂ locked down the hot corner for the Lions in her final year, starting 31 of the 32Â games she appeared in. She put up a career-high .442 batting average while also posting career-highs in hits (46) and RBI (17).Â

KENNEDY VOTAVAÂ appeared in 38 contests, making 36 starts in the outfield for the Lions in 2024. The junior tied her career high in stolen bases (19) and struck out just four times in 89 at-bats on the season.

JASMINE LOWERYÂ once again proved to be a valuable asset for the Lions, appearing in a career-high 39 games while making starts in both the infield and outfield. Recording a career-high 25 RBI, she stole double-digit bases (10) for the first time in her career while slugging over .500 for the second season in a row.
Jordyn Green appeared in 35 contests, making 27 starts in her first season with the Lions. She ranked second on the team in batting average (.380) and walks (9) while recording 30 hits on the season.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
