Nakiyah Washington earned CCS Field Athlete of the Week on the women's side while freshman
Ethan Butler-Paige took home CCS Field Rookie of the Week honors on the men's side.
Washington broke her previous school record in the shot put and won the event with a toss of 11.90m. Her previous best and school record had stood since 2021. Earning three other top ten placements, earning second in the javelin (34.18m), fifth in the hammer (36.71m) and seventh in the discus (32.34m).
The freshman from Warner Robins continues to have a stellar freshman campaign, once again earning CCS weekly honors after three top ten performances at this past weekend's meet. Earning second place in the men's hammer (39.38m), Butler-Paige followed up with a fifth place toss in the discus (34.65m) and a fifth place toss in the javelin (39.92m).
