CCS Women's Field Rookie of the Week: Allison Cantrell

ATLANTA, Ga. - Piedmont women's track & field athletes Allie Feltus and Allison Cantrell earned weekly CCS awards following the program's first outdoor meet of the season this past weekend at the Victor Ice Breaker Duals. 

Feltus earned CCS Field Athlete of the Week after her second place finish in the discus, tossing a best distance of 37.71m. She also placed 12th in the hammer toss at the meet with a distance of 34.02m. Feltus' discus distance places her first in the region overall after outdoor opening weekend.
 
Cantrell earned CCS Field Rookie of the Week following her performance at Mount Berry in the long jump. She posted a best distance of 4.86m earned her a fifth place finish at the meet and ranks her third in the region for the event.
