ROME, Ga. - Piedmont men's golf's B and C Teams completed Round One of the Chick-fil-A Invitational on Monday in Rome, Georgia.

With 10 Lions competing across the two teams, Remo Scholl and Connor Fahey led the way, as both came home with rounds of 4-over 76 on the day.

Scholl was able to start and finish strong, making birdie on two of his first three holes and then adding two more to close out his day and move to 4-over.

Fahey matched Scholl with four birdies of his own, doing most of his damage on the back nine (his first nine holes of the day), with three birdies in a four hole span.

Joining Fahey on the C Team, Ryan Colwell added a pair of birdies and also carded Piedmont's lone eagle of the day, making three on the par-5 14th.

Aaron Martin Del Campo carded an 81 while Walker Faust had the final counting score on the C Team with an 83 as Jackson Wyrick delivered a non-counting 86.

In support of Scholl's solid round on the B Team, Caleb Vancil delivered two birdies on his way to a 5-over 77. 

Kayden White made three birdies on his first nine for a 6-over 78 while newcomers Elliot Mehler and Drew Anness each carded 85's.

Up next, the Lions will conclude the event with the final 18 holes beginning Tuesday morning.
