TALLULAH FALLS, Ga. - The Piedmont University women's swimming team cruised to a pair of wins over Warren Wilson and Columbia on senior day, winning every single event during the meet.

The Lions started the meet with the 200 yard medley relay where Caroline Massaro joined Madison Nance, Tressie Polk and Kelly Mashburn to win the event by over 11 seconds (2:02.98).

Nance then went out on her own in the 100 yard IM and claimed the victory in 1:08.81. She wasn't done, winning the 100 yard butterfly (1:07.67) and 200 yard IM (2.29.96) later on in the meet.

Freshman Sydney Addison secured the win in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:09.71.

Grabbing her own solo wins, Massaro held off the challenger from Columbia in the 100 yard backstroke (1:07.41) and the 50 yard backstroke (31.60) to take home first place.

Freshman Sydney Trafton and senior Lizzie Arrendale swam one of the closest races of the day in the 50 yard breaststroke, with Trafton narrowly picking up the win by just under a second. Her time of 37.79 was followed directly by Arrendale's 38.66.

Mashburn continued her impressive first-year campaign, winning the 50 yard freestyle in 26.51. She then jumped directly back in, this time winning the 100 yard freestyle (57.19) just mere minutes after her previous victory.

In the 100 yard breaststroke, sophomore Avonlea Kirby took the win in 1:18.55 while Trafton grabbed second in 1:20.98.

Senior Lauren Stone grabbed herself a senior day win in the 500 yard freestyle, turning in a time of 6:13.07.

In the 50 yard butterfly, freshman Olivia Smith added her name to the win column with a 29.77 while Polk turned in a second place time of 30.97.

Closing out the successful meet, Mashburn, Arrendale, Addison and Stone won the 200 yard freestyle relay in 1:51.62.

The Lions have one meet left before the Conference Championship and will be back in action Saturday, January 27th at Point University.
