SEASON RECAP: 2023 Women's Cross Country

• The Piedmont University women's cross country team completed their second year in the CCS with a third place finish at the conference meet.
• The Lions also went on to place 13th overall at the NCAA South Region Championships.
• Senior Jaycie Ponce was the only Lion to grab a weekly award during the season while she also broke the Piedmont women's 4k record.
• The program hosted the 2023 Collegiate Conference of the South Championship meet for the first time.

• Led by sophomore SKYLER SEEBER, Piedmont finished behind Berea and Covenant in third place.
• Seeber turned in a brilliant performance, finishing third overall with a time of 24:52.9 and earning All-CCS First Team honors.
• Teammates JAYCIE PONCE and HANNAH MARLOWE finished in the top 12, earning All-CCS Second Team honors.

• Senior JAYCIE PONCE led the pack at the NCAA South Region Championships, finishing 37th overall (23.36.7).
• Teammates SKYLER SEEBER (23.55.9) and HANNAH MARLOWE (24:14.0) were the next two across the line for Piedmont as Marlowe narrowly missed a PR.

Piedmont saw three different runners awarded all-conference honors for the 2023 season.
