MARS HILL, N.C. - In a tough matchup versus Division II opponent Mars Hill University, the Piedmont women's swim team dropped their first contest of the year by a score of 112-91.
The meet started with the 200 yard medley relay, where the team of
CAROLINE MASSARO,
MADISON NANCE,

It was an uphill fight for the team for the majority of the meet but second place finishes in the 50 yard freestyle (Wraithe, 28.30), 200 yard IM (Nance, 2:33.47), 100 yard butterfly (Polk, 1:10.41) and 100 yard freestyle (
LAUREN STONE, 1:04.48) would keep the squad in it.
Massaro would continue her impressive freshman campaign picking up a huge win in the 100 yard backstroke (1:06.89).
Piedmont ended the meet with a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay, where
