TALLULAH FALLS, Ga. – The Piedmont University women's swimming team opened the 2022-23 season with a loss to the University of the South Saturday afternoon at Tallulah Falls School.
The Tigers claimed the win 166-96 as Piedmont posted a pair of wins in the meet with
MADISON NANCE claiming the 50 yard breaststroke and 100 yard breaststroke.
Nance posted the top time in the 50 yard breaststroke with a 33.56 and a 1:13.97 in the 100 yard breaststroke.
Piedmont's
GWYNETH THOMAS, Nance,
CAROLINE MASSARO, and
HANNAH SHEFFIELD combined for a second place finish in the 200 yard medley relay (2:01.86).
In the 200 yard freestyle relay, Thomas,
LAUREN STONE,
GRACE KOPF, and
JENISE WAITHE combined for second (1:52.49).
Up next, Piedmont hosts William Peace on October 8 at Tallulah Falls School.
