ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The Piedmont University women's swim team routed Warren Wilson by a wide margin on Saturday, winning the meet 192-34.

The win marks the 4th on the year for the squad and continues a trend of great performances for the Lady Lions.

Lauren Stone had a standout meet for the team, winning the 200 yard freestyle (2:13.62), 100 yard freestyle (1:00.87) and the 200 yard IM (2:38.08).

In the 50 yard backstroke, Caroline Massaro continued her brilliant season as she won the event yet again with a 31.71. Massaro also picked up the win in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:07.32.

Freshman Avonlea Kirby found success on the day, winning the 50 yard breaststroke (35.39) and 100 yard breaststroke (1:16.56).

In the team races, the Lady Lions continued their dominance. The team of Maggie Bishop, Bella Santiago, Tressie Polk and Madison Blankenship won the 200 yard medley relay, posting a time of 2:09.78. In the 400 yard freestyle relay, Kirby, Santiago, Polk and Alyssa Schultz finished with a 4:18.71 to win the event for Piedmont. Polk also picked up an individual win in the 50 yard fly (31.20).

In other individual performances, Madison Nance continued to be in form, winning 100 yard fly (1:07.74) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:52.34) to continue her incredible season. 

Piedmont also found its' first win of the season in the Mixed 200 yard freestyle relay as Massaro and Grace Kopf joined male counterparts Luke Borgmann and Aiden Smith in posting a 1:56.88.

Up next, Piedmont travels to The Point Invite for a three day event, beginning on Thursday, Nov. 17.
