HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Led by another solid round from JOSH HEBRINK, the No. 7 Piedmont men's golf team moved up the leaderboard on Monday at the NCAA Preview in Florida.

After opening with a 14-over 302 team score on Sunday, the Lions took on the challenge of the El Campeon Course on Monday and achieved the same result, finishing with another 14-over 302 to find themselves at 28-over for the tournament.

For the second consecutive day, sophomore JOSH HEBRINK led Piedmont. The Elk River, Minnesota native fired a 1-over 73, giving hims four rounds of 73 out of five played this fall. Hebrink is 2-over for the event and is tied for 27th out of 122 golfers competing.
 

Playing out of the No. 1 spot in the lineup, FRED ROBERTS IV bounced back with a 2-over 74 thanks to a hot stretch around the turn where he made four birdies in six holes.

One day after carding a 9-over 81, sophomore ERIC PENLAND rallied back, improving by four strokes to a 5-over 77 on Monday while MICHAEL CLARDY delivered the final counting score with a 6-over 78 after a double bogey on No. 18.

MATTHEW ARIZA carded an 8-over 80 with one birdie on the round.

Although Methodist was 17 strokes worse on Monday than Sunday, it stil holds a nine shot lead over second-place Emory on the team leaderboard.

The Monarchs' Andre Chi leads at 7-under after a second round 68.

Play will conclude with the final 18 holes beginning Tuesday morning.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Hebrink continued to be rock solid in the middle of Piedmont's lineup, firing a 1-over 73 for the second straight day and fourth time in five rounds this fall.
- Roberts IV bounced back from a difficult Sunday to improve to a 2-over 74 on Monday, leading the team with four birdies in the process.
