Piedmont scored four in the top of the eighth to seemingly take control of the contest, but the Eagles stormed back for the victory as PC dropped the series against Emory 2-1.

Piedmont was first on the board taking a two run lead in the first but the Eagles got back a run making it 2-1 after one complete. In the top of the third, the Lions would get a run across after a pair of singles with two outs along with a walk making it 3-1 PC.

Emory came back to tie the contest at three in the fourth and took the lead 4-3 in the fifth after three singles and a hit by pitch to drive in the run with nowhere to put Wilson Morgan. SAM CARPENTER pitched 4.2 innings striking out four but was off the hook for the decision after ZACH LANGLEY reached on a fielder's choice scoring NATHAN HOLT to tie the game.

Piedmont took the lead scoring four in the eighth inning on just two hits and one error combined with two walks, three stolen bases and a wild pitch.
