Rocky Mount, N.C. - The Piedmont College men's tennis team is heading to the USA South semi-finals for the fourth year in a row thanks to a 7-2 victory over Huntingdon College. This marks the second victory in one week over the Hawks as the two squared off on Sunday, April 10th with Piedmont winning 6-3. 

The Metzger brothers started it off with a dominant win at the #1 doubles 8-4 followed by a close loss at #2 doubles 8-6 then HARRISON LABOLLITA and BRENT JENKINS cruised to a win at #3 doubles 8-3. 

The outcome was nearly the same as the previous meeting on Sunday between these two with the exception of LaBollita and Jenkins' win in doubles play. Both Metzger brothers won in singles as well as BRYAN BARNETT, ROBBIE WERNER and LaBollita.

Turning Point
--BRYAN BARNETT's win at the #3 singles clinched the match for Piedmont after picking up a pair of wins in doubles play.

Standout Performances
--NATHAN METZGER and MATTHEW METZGER continued their win streak in doubles competition as they have won their last four in a row.
--HARRISON LABOLLITA and BRENT JENKINS won at the #3 doubles against Ben Marler and Bailey Burns marking the only change in outcome from the previous matchup on Sunday between these two when Piedmont won 6-3. 

Inside the Box Score
--LaBollita was taken to three sets against Burns in singles play but was victorious. 

News & Notes
--This marks the fourth straight season the Lions have made it to the semi-finals of the USA South Tournament. 

Up Next
The Lions will be in action tomorrow in the semi-finals taking on top-seeded North Carolina Wesleyan College at 2:00 pm.
