WHAT'S UP NEXT:
- This was the second of two tournaments scheduled for the men this fall as the Lions will kick off their spring schedule on February 6th hosting Mississippi University for Women at Burgen Tennis Courts.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
Hear from Head Men's Tennis Coach Matt Williams on his team's performance over the weekend:  "I am very proud of the way that we competed all weekend against some strong competition that we will see again during the spring season. Last year both of our matches against Maryville and Berry were decided by the thinnest of margins, so I knew we were going to have great battles all weekend. The Fall Foliage Classic is a great way to wrap up our fall season and this one was the best edition yet!"

INSIDE THE LINEUP:
- Piedmont picked up tons of experience getting 25 singles matches and 15 opportunities to pair up in doubles on the weekend.
- The tournament was held at Piedmont's famed Burgen Tennis Courts which feature six courts atop the Walker Athletic Complex just below the new freshman domitory, Mystic Hall.
- All 13 Lions who competed picked up a win in either singles or doubles play.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Piedmont's singles lineup was dominant against both Berry and Maryville taking eight of the 12 match-ups with Berry and sweeping the first six against Maryville.
- Charles Parnell won his match 2-4 over Maryville's Field Myatt and partnered with Jade Nzewi to win in doubles play dramatically 7-5 over Berry's Lambert/Duckstein pairing.
- Maryville transfer Grant Price went 2-0 against his former mates including a singles win over Luke Romano, 1-3.
- Drew Phelan continued his outstanding fall season not dropping a match over the weekend and having only dropped one all fall.
