Flowery Branch, GA - The Lions went to work in Round 2 at the Royal Lakes Invitational, improving by two spots to finish the tournament in 14th, with a final team score of 618.

DAVIS COOK and NICK SCOTT both ended their outing with a two-round score of 153, posting the low scores for PC. Scott was able to finish round two with a three stroke improvement from round one posting a 75 on day two of competition. 

JAKE FORBES was the low-scoring Lion for round two after posting an 81 on day one, Forbes shot a 74 to help boost Piedmont up the leaderboard. The second round surge gives the senior his lowest score of the 2016-17 season. 

COOPER YOUNG shaved eight strokes off of his first round score, giving him his collegiate tournament personal best score of 80 on Tuesday.

As a team, the Lions ended with a round two total of 307 strokes, shaving four strokes off their round one score. This is the second tournament that the men's golf team has finished with a season-low team score of 618.

Standout Performances
--DAVIS COOK and NICK SCOTT tied for 54th overall in the tournament with a final score of 153.
--JAKE FORBES had an electric round two with a score of 74.
