Kane's first came in the 24th minute before he followed that up with a header in the 51st minute of play to put on just the type of show fans came to see on "Cram the Complex" Night at Walker Athletic Complex, the first in Piedmont's athletic promotional series for 2015-16.
Accounting for the third Piedmont goal was freshman
CULLEN COPLAND who tallied his score less than 50 seconds after Kane's 1st in the opening 25 minutes of play. Copland's goal was created by a through-ball from
CASON DOWDY.
On Kane's first strike, it was the freshman
CRISTIAN ALEGRIA who tallied the assist while Kane's header on a corner in the second saw international
MATTHEW METZGER earn the assist.
Turning Point-Piedmont's 47 second spell in the first half that saw the Lions score two goals putting the game out of reach after Toccoa had put together a run of its own with three shots and a corner kick in the five minutes leading up to Piedmont's two goals.
Standout Performances-Kane's two goals is his third multi-goal game of his young career with the last such showing at home coming against Trinity Baptist as he scored both of Piedmont's goals that night including the gamewinner in OT.

KENNETH HEARN posts his 4th clean sheet of the last two seasons with his 90 minutes of shutout in goal.

CULLEN COPLAND scored Piedmont's 2nd goal of the evening in his debut as he found the back of the net just ten minutes after being subbed in during the 15th minute of play.
Inside the Box Score-Piedmont made its chances count with three of its five shots on target finding the back of the net.

MATTHEW METZGER, one of five corners on the evening for the home team.
News & Notes-Toccoa Falls is 0-11 against Head Coach Jimmy Stephens since his arrival at Piedmont.
Up NextThe Lions host Oglethorpe University for a 7:30 pm kickoff next Tuesday evening. Oglethorpe played to a scoreless draw earlier this evening with #23 Emory University, an Eagles squad that defeated Piedmont 2-1 in a preseason exhibition earlier this year.
