DEMOREST, Georgia -- Piedmont's men's lacrosse team suffered their first loss of the season Saturday afternoon in Demorest to Guilford College, 20-2.  With the loss the Lions move to 3-1 on the season. 

The Quakers dominated the first period, going up 11-1 on the Lions.  Guilford would go on to add nine additional goals in route to the victory. 

The Quakers outshot the Lions 50-15 in the contest and caused 27 Piedmont Turnovers.

Guilford's Andrew McDonagh led all scorers with four goals on the day.  Also scoring multiple goals for the Quakers: Daniel Haupt (3), Chandler Zirkle (2), Daniel Hughey (2), Henry Farley (2) and Duncan Fitzgerald (2).

Piedmont's two goals were posted by BRANSON MIKELL and TAYLOR CARTER. 

Piedmont will continue their home stand Wednesday when they face-off with Berry College at the Walker Athletic Complex in Demorest.  Game time is set for 4 PM.
