Demorest, GA - The Lions used a 17-0 halftime lead to blow past Alma College 24-2 for the second lacrosse win in school history. Piedmont opened the season with a loss at Randolph College, then rebounded for the first-ever win over Rhodes College. The new two-game win streak gives the Lions a statement on the school's program and the confidence to go out and contend with other programs that have been around for years.
After a 6-0 first period, the men scored 11 more goals in the second, while the defense allowed just two shots on goal, both saves by
Dale Morely.
Spencer Ortis got the Lions off with a first quarter goal at the 9:44 mark.
Max Rowse then scored two consecutive goals just seconds apart, assisted by

However, Blanchard scored again to end the quarter as the Lions enjoyed a comfortable 20-2 lead.
