Lady Lions Overpower Agnes Scott With Pair Of Shutouts

Hannah McKay led the offense with seven hits in the doubleheader sweep of Agnes Scott College.

Decatur, GA -- The Piedmont College softball team picked up a pair of Great South Athletic Conference victories this afternoon against host Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA by the scores of 15-0 and 11-0. The Lady Lions improve to an even 2-2 in the GSAC and snap their previous three-game losing streak.

In the opener Hannah McKay led the offense with three hits and a pair of runs scored and stolen bases respectively. Nikki Eastman chipped in with a pair of hits and three runs scored while Lindsay Drevlow and Michelle Broderick combined for the shutout.

The Lady Lions cruised in the finale as well as McKay struck again going 4-4 while Leah Della Torre went 3-4 with three runs driven in and a triple. In a rare offensive opportunity #B.J. Cofer# went a perfect 2-2 at the plate.

The wins move PC to 8-10 overall. The Lady Lions will continue conference play on Thursday, April 9th as they host Maryville College at Walker Field starting at 5:00.
