The Piedmont College softball team completed its 2007 season with a victory over Wesleyan College 7-3 but fell to host Maryville College 1-0 as the Lady Lions were eliminated from the Great South Athletic Conference Tournament in Maryville, TN. The Lady Lions pounded out 15 hits and seven runs against WC but lost a heartbreaker against tournament host MC in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Against Wesleyan the softball team scored in ever inning but one and rolled to the 7-3 victory. Meredith Ray threw a complete game allowing only two earned runs while striking out five hitters. Leah Della Torre led the offense going 1-2 with a pair of RBI's while Megan Day chipped-in going 3-1 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Against Maryville it was a pitchers duel with both starters throwing complete games allowing zero earned runs respectively. Ray took the tough-luck loss striking out three hitters while only allowing three hits and one walk.

The Lady Lions finish the 2007 campaign 20-21 overall.
