The Piedmont College softball team recorded a split with NCAA Division-III Atlantic Region powerEmory University this afternoon at Walker Field winning the first game 2-1 in eight innings but falling in game two by the score of 8-0. The Lady Lions complete a four-game season split with Emory.
Meredith Ray pitched a complete-game victory in game one throwing eight innings and allowing only one run. In game two Ray recorded the loss being knocked out early as the game was completed by Lindsay Drevlow.
The Lady Lions now stand at 28-7 overall. The team will travel to Marion, IN tomorrow to compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association National Championship with game times to be announced.
