The top-seeded Lady Lions now drop into the loser's bracket and will face second-seeded LaGrange College in an elimination game tomorrow morning.
In the first game, Piedmont posted a 4-0 victory over fourth-seeded Maryville College as Meredith Ray threw a complete-game shutout allowing just four hits while striking out six batters. Marissa Harding led the way offensively with a perfect 2-2 day from the plate.
In the second game, the Lady Lions suffered their first loss of the season to a GSAC school as third-seeded Huntingdon downed Piedmont 7-2.
