Milwaukee, Wisconsin - The Piedmont University cycling teams have finished competition at the Tour of America's Dairyland event taking several podiums at the Midwest-based event.  

With the 11-day criterium racing series now in the rear-view mirror, the Lions will come back to Demorest with hardware but also for a well-earned rest.  (Recap Continued Below - Click Here to Read)

Day 1 of racing kicked off in Oak Creek which also started a three-day intermediate sprint series where sprint points were awarded midway through the race. Shannon Himstedt placed first for the intermediate sprint and also went on to finish 3rd in the field sprint.
 

Day 2 took the team to Racine, where Himstedt won the intermediate sprint yet again. Pearson Bruhns took a solo flyer late in the race and came to the line solo, taking the victory. Himstedt won the field sprint for 2nd and Tyler Rogers was close behind in 7th.

Himstedt also moved into 1st in the series and was awarded the leaders jersey to wear racing the next day.
 

Day 3 was in Kenosha with Himstedt winning the final intermediate sprint and therefore winning the sprint series. Bruhns took the win yet again and moved into 1st in the series, taking the leaders jersey from teammate Himstedt to wear the next day.

Day 4 was set in Suamico where the race stayed "super chill" as the veterans described until the last couple of laps things started to speed up quickly.

Himstedt won the sprint finish by a bike throw and was placed back into the leader's jersey for the final day of racing while Bruhns came in 10th for the day.

Day 5 in De Pere was the final day of the men's 2/3 series as the Piedmont riders missed an early break in the race.  Bruhns finished 10th on the day. Himstedt ended up fishing 3rd overall for the series. 

Day 6 in Cedar Creek kicked off the women's 2/3 series as Emma Frost placed 7th in the race. Owen Lloyd competed in the men's pro 1/2, placing 20th on the day.
 

Day 7 was in Hartland. Frost took a solo flyer with about 9 laps to go and held on until the finish, taking 1st place. She also moved into 1st place in the women's 2/3 series and was placed in the leader's jersey to wear for the next day of racing.

Lloyd placed 20th in the men's pro yet again.
 

Day 8 took the team to Bay View. The course proved to be challenging but Lloyd still made a good showing in the men's pro field, finishing 21st.

Day 9 was set in Shorewood where the women's 2/3 series wrapped up with Frost finishing 3rd overall as Lloyd finished 19th on the day in the men's pro.

Day 10 was in Milwaukee on Downer Ave. This day hosted the American Criterium Cup drawing in even more stacked competition in the pro fields.

Even with the extra competition Lloyd was able to finish 26th on the day in the men's pro field.

Day 11 and the final day of racing was in Wauwatosa where Lloyd had his best finish of the series, finishing 17th. This also placed him 3rd overall for cat 2s for the 11-day series with only haven raced 6 days.
