ATLANTA - Andrew Misirly headlined the Lions all-conference selections as Piedmont landed six players on the All-CCS First Team, the most in program history, while head coach
Justin Scali was awarded Coach of the Year, his second of his career and first in the CCS.
The six athletes marks the most first team selections for the Lions since 2013.
Andrew Misirly, CCS Pitcher of the Year & All-CCS First Team (Pitcher)
BY THE NUMBERS:
ERA: 3.11 (1st on the team & 2nd in the league)
Strikeouts: 43 (1st on team)
Record: 3-2
In-Season CCS Recognition: 3x Pitcher of the Week
Of Note: Misirly's sophomore campaign was a huge success for the right-hander. The sophomore saw himself named athlete of the week three times as he led the Lions' pitching staff in a season where the squad won their conference for the first time since 2019.
Justin Scali, CCS Coach of the Year
Of Note: Scali led the Lions to their first regular season conference championship since 2019. This is the Piedmont coach's second conference Coach of the Year award, winning his first in 2019 when Piedmont was a member of the USA South. After Scali's squad swept nationally ranked Belhaven, Piedmont received national rankings in the following weeks, showing off its power.
Cole Ellis, All-CCS First Team (Outfielder)
BY THE NUMBERS:
Batting Average: .427 (1st on the team & in the league)
Strikeouts: Just 12 strikeouts in 131 at-bats
Runs Scored: 44 (2nd on the team)
Past All-Conference Recognition: All-CCS Second Team (2023, 2025)
Of Note: Cole earns a spot on the CCS All-Conference list for the third time in his collegiate career. Ellis was a constant cog in the offensive machine for the Lions. Ellis capped off his senior season with career highs in BA, OBP and SLG, along with career highs in runs and RBIs.
Cody Funk, All-CCS First Team (Outfielder)
BY THE NUMBERS:
Hits: 68 (1st on team & in the league)
Batting Average: .422 (2nd on team and in the league)
Runs: 56 (1st on team & 2nd in the league)
Stolen Bases: 39 (1st on team & in the league)
Previous All-Conference Recognition: All-CCS Second Team (2025)
Of Note: This marks Funk's second all-conference designation, after being selected to the second team last season. Funk was the table setter for the Lions this season, batting in the leadoff spot and tallying 89 total bases. Cody used his speed to his advantage, swiping a team and conference high 39 bases while breaking the Piedmont program single-season runs scored record with 56 and counting on the year. Funk was received national recognition this season, being named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week.
Carter Few, All-CCS First Team (Designated Hitter)

ON Base Plus Slugging: 1.140 (1st on team & in the league)
Batting Average: .415 (1st on team & 4th in the league)
RBI: 40 (3rd on team)
Past All-Conference Recognition: All-CCS Second Team (2025)
Of Note: Few was a force at the plate this season for the Lions. Few started the year on fire, earning national recognition in being named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week in March. Carter didn't stop there, as he contributed to the CCS' best offense throughout the season, hitting four home runs and leading the Lions in OPS while slugging .600.
Drew O'Neill, All-CCS First Team (Pitcher)
BY THE NUMBERS:
ERA: 3.45 (2nd on the team & 3rd in the league)
Strikeouts: 40 (2nd on team)
Record: 5-1
In-Season CCS Recognition: 2x Rookie of the Week
Of Note: O'Neill was a rock in the rotation for the Lions in his freshman year. Drew carried an 0.82 ERA through his first four starts of the season. O'Neill was on the mound for the CCS regular season title clincher in the last game of the year, in which the right-hander threw seven innings of shutout ball in a run-rule contest.
Luke Manry, All-CCS First Team (Pitcher)
BY THE NUMBERS:
ERA: 2.42 (1st on the team among relievers)
Strikeouts: 18 (2nd on the team among relievers)
Record: 2-1
Saves: 8 (1st on the team & T-1st in the league)
Of Note: Manry was one of the top relivers in the CCS as the closer for the Lions. Luke finished the regular season tied first for the most saves in the conference, showcasing his lockdown potential. Manry filled up the strike zone, baffling opponents, recording an 18-2 strikeout to walk ratio. The all-conference listing marks the first in the junior's collegiate career.
