ATLANTA - Piedmont softball player Ellie Lenz has earned CCS Rookie of the Week honors for the first time this season, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

The award comes after a weekend doubleheader sweep over Covenant where Lenz powered the Lion offense.

 

The Atlanta, Ga. native put on a show with the bat this weekend, batting .400 (4-for-10) across four games. Three of her four hits went for extra bases, collecting a pair of doubles and a triple while driving home two runs and crossing home three times herself.

Up next, Lenz and the Lions travel to Macon to wrap up their regular season against the Wesleyan Wolves with game one being set for 12 p.m.
