Senior Spotlight: Softball

2026 Softball Senior Spotlight

These five seniors have been with the Lions for varying lengths of time but all have made lasting impacts on the program. They have helped the Lions to nearly 90 wins over the past four seasons, including three 20 or more win season and a pair of 25 win seasons. Over the past two seasons, they have combined to help the Lions win five games over ranked opponents.

#5 RYLIE ERICKSON | DAWSONVILLE, GA.
Rylie Erickson
Rylie Erickson - Senior Spotlight

Erickson has appeared in 45 games and made 10 starts over four seasons with the Lions. She has recorded 10 hits, including two extra-base hits, along with 10 RBI. Rylie delivered a career-high seven RBI in the 2025 season. Earlier this season, she went 3-for-4 in a home doubleheader sweep against Johnson & Wales, adding two runs scored, two stolen bases and an RBI. In the classroom, Rylie is a two-time CCS All-Academic Team member. She plans to graduate with a degree in nursing.

#9 KAYLEE TAYLOR | WINSTON, GA.
Kaylee Taylor
Kaylee Taylor - Senior Spotlight

Taylor has played in 27 games and made 16 starts over two seasons with the program. She has tallied eight hits, eight RBI and a pair of extra-base hits. Always patient at the plate, Kaylee has drawn nine walks. Earlier this season, she came off the bench as a pinch-hitter and drove home two runs on an RBI double in a doubleheader sweep at Agnes Scott. Kaylee plans to graduate with a degree in elementary education.

Jacy Vickery
Jacy Vickery - Senior Spotlight

In just one season with Piedmont, Vickery made an instant impact in the circle. She appeared in 13 games, making 12 starts. Jacy tossed nine complete games in those 12 starts and earned the win in eight of those games. Despite missing time with injury, Vickery leads the Lions with 40 strikeouts this season. In the team’s home opening weekend, Vickery tossed 21.0 total innings over three consecutive days, going the distance and earning the win each time, twice against Pfeiffer and once against Mt. St. Joseph. Jacy plans to graduate with a degree in healthcare administration.

#22 KASEY WHITE | JACKSON, CALIF.
Kasey White
Kasey White - Senior Spotlight

White followed in her older sister Kaylee’s footsteps in coming to Piedmont, and has been a staple of the program. Kasey has appeared in 15 games, highlighted by a .308 batting average, specializing in being a pinch-hitting weapon off the bench. Last season, White recorded four hits and made them count, driving in five runs. In the 2025 Diamond Classic, White came off the bench and went 1-for-1 with 2 RBI, a stolen base and a run scored against William Peace. Kasey plans to graduate with a degree in nursing.

#24 MADDI SPIEKS | MONTICELLO, GA.
Maddi Spieks
Maddi Spieks - Senior Spotlight

Spieks has appeared in and started over 100 games in her three seasons at Piedmont, locking down both middle infield spots for periods of time. She has been a standout at the plate, with 130 hits; 86 runs scored and 25 stolen bases to her name. Spieks led the team with a .461 batting average last season and currently ranks second on the team this season in batting average, runs scored and hits. Maddi was named CCS Rookie of the Week in March of 2024 and off the field, is a two-time CCS All-Academic Team honoree. She plans to graduate with a degree in sports and fitness administration and a minor in sports management.
