DEMOREST, Ga. - In a contest between a pair of USA South unbeaten teams, Piedmont women's lacrosse was unable to contain Meredith in a 20-4 loss on a warm Saturday afternoon in Demorest.

Once the game got underway, the Lions raced out to a fast start, answering Meredith's opening goal with two in a row to take an early lead in the first quarter.
Savannah Limehouse was the recipient on both, converting first on a feed from
Carson Bezold, which placed her in a tie for the single season program record. Then, around a minute later, Limehouse struck again, this time off an assist from the senior Welch.
Leading 2-1, the Lions were unable to capitalize on the momentum, as the Avenging Angels responded quickly, reeling off a 16-0 run and holding the Lions scoreless until late in the third quarter.
Piedmont was able to find a pair of goals in the second half. Limehouse secured her 10th hat trick of the season before the senior Welch closed out the third quarter for Piedmont's fourth and final goal.
