Four Lions Record Hat Tricks in Rout of Brevard

DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont men's lacrosse team scored a season high 27 goals en route to a 27-3 win over Brevard on Friday.

Piedmont exploded in the first quarter for 12 goals, setting the table for a big offensive day. The Lions scored in every quarter, showing dominance throughout the evening.

Piedmont saw four players earn a hat trick in the performance, with freshman Cole Carson scoring four goals on the day. 

Freshman Grady Eyler scored three goals, adding to his team-leading 33-goal mark. Josh Tamarkin also found the back of the cage for three, scoring his 28th goal by game's end. Finally, sophomore Daniel Thomas tied his career-high goals in a single game with a hat trick of his own.

The Lions add another double-digit win to their resume as they continue into the back half of their schedule. 

Next, the Lions travel to Montgomery, Ala., to face off against the Hawks of Huntingdon on Wednesday, April 15, at 6:00 p.m.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Eyler, Tamarkin, and Thomas all recorded three goals in the performance.
- The freshman Carson arrived with four goals in the contest, setting his career high in goals.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Piedmont picked up 62 ground balls compared to the Tornados' 24.
- Piedmont hurled 75 shots in the contest, with 45 of them being on goal.
