SEASON PREVIEW: Women's Lacrosse

• The Lions are coming off a strong 2025 season. Piedmont finished with an 8-1 conference record second only to the Meredith Avenging Angels.
• Piedmont saw a large graduating class from last season but return several key players on the offensive side.
• Postseason play saw the Lions advance to the semifinal round, where they fell to Methodist.
• Piedmont returns several key players including Savannah Limehouse, who scored 51 goals in the '25 season and a strong midfield headlined by Clara Welch.
• The USA South Preseason Coaches Poll saw the Lions picked to finish in second place for the 2026 season behind the reigning champion Avenging Angels of Meredith.

• Brooke Thacker enters her third season as head women's lacrosse coach at Piedmont. In her two full seasons as head coach Thacker has led the Lions to a 23-15 record with deep playoff runs. 
• Thacker led the Lions to 13 wins in 2025 which was the most overall wins for the program since 2015 and tied the program record for conference win with eight.
• Last season five Lions earned All-Conference honors under the tutelage of Thacker and assistant coach Monti Hendrix.
• Monti Hendrix enters her second season as assistant coach.
